Kajol Ibrahim
Kajol Ibrahim (also known as Kajol Mahmud) began her dancing career in the late fifties as a child performer, and participated in international tours as a dancer in official delegations from East Pakistan and later Bangladesh. She was born in 1952 in Dhaka, and trained under Shomor Bhattacharya and Babu Ram Singh at Bulbul Academy of Fine Arts (BAFA). More about her life and career can be found in her autobiography Nritte Gatha Kotha Mala (2021).
Her personal archive consists primarily of cuttings from Bengali print media, collected by her mother Bodrunessa Abdullah.
